Our Story
Sisters Claire and Maren grew up exploring tide pools along the rocky coast of Maine, collecting smooth stones and pieces of sea glass worn soft by the ocean. Years later, they found themselves drawn to clay—not for its perfection, but for its possibility.
Working from their shared studio in Portland, they throw each piece on wheels they built themselves, using clay sourced from Vermont and glazes mixed from coastal sand and ash. Their work is quiet, functional, meant to be held and used daily.
Every piece is wood-fired in their small anagama kiln twice a year. The salt air, the long Maine winters, the way light hits the water at different times of day—all of it finds its way into the finished work.
